Back in the early 90′s , when Poetic Justice came out, I remember begging my mom for long braids. When I got them you couldn’t tell me I was not Janet Jackson,lol. Now many years later I am starting to see more and more grown women rocking the long individual braids! Kandi Buruss hit the red carpet last night for Bravo UpFront,  rocking  braids (and also some fresh botox). Hmmmm , I’m not a fan of the braids after age 10. The only person who I have liked them on in recent years has been Solange. They match her eccentric style. I don’t know what it is about them that grinds my gears, maybe they just seem juvenile or dated. But those are just my thoughts. On the other hand , they do give your natural hair a break and you can just get up and go, especially in these upcoming summer months.
