We’ve been hearing rumors for awhile now that there was an all black remake of the 1989 hit movie Steel Magnolias, which starred Julia Roberts, Dolly Parton and Sally Field , in the work. Steel Magnolias tells the story of 6 women’s lives from the lives  Louisiana, with women Truvy’s beauty shop  as the back drop. Now we can confirm that Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, Alfred Woodard, Phylicia Rashad and her daughter Condella Rashad will star in Lifetime’s made for TV movie, which has started filming in Atlanta and will  premiere later tis year. I’m excited to see this adaption!
