JUSTIN COMBS CRITIZED FOR ACCEPTING FOOTBALL SCHOLARSHIP
Cutie Justin Combs graduated from High School this weekend and instead of focusing all of his energy into celebrating, he was responding to critics saying he shouldn’t accept his scholarship. Why not? Because his father is Rich!
All of Justin’s hard work on the football field has gotten him a full athletic scholarship to UCLA this fall. Despite the fact that Justin graduated with a 3.7 GPA and has won several football awards, many think he shouldn’t accept the money because his father, Diddy, is reportedly reportedly $500 million. Critics say that he should deny the money so that a student in need can use the money instead.
In a recent interview, university spokesman Ricardo Vazquez said,
“There is a big separation between financial aid based on need and how that’s funded and how athletic scholarships are funded and awarded to students…Unlike need-based scholarships, athletic scholarships are awarded to students strictly on the basis of their athletic and academic ability, and not on a student’s financial need…”
Justin responded to all of his critics by tweeting,
“Regardless what the circumstances are, I put that work in!!!! PERIOD. Regardless of what you do in life every1 is gonna have their own opinion. Stay focused, keep that tunnel vision & never 4get why u started.”
Justin’s mother Misa Hylton also responded by tweeting,
“My Son is his own man. He will earn his own way through life. I’m so proud of my baby ? it starts now! He is exactly the young man I raised him to be ? #independent #hardworking #intelligent”
I know thats right! Despite how much money his father makes, Justin worked hard for that scholarship and has every right to accept it. What do you think? Should Justin give up his scholarship?
