On this Tuesday’s season finale of BET’s The Game, Melanie (Tia Mowry) and Derwin (Pooch Hall) were headed here to the DMV for Melanie to pursue her medical career at Johns Hopkins. They attempted to leave it open with Derwin saying he’ll just stay there with her while he’s off-season…cut it out guys, we all know Melanie and Derwin are not returning to the show.

Fans were left wondering if they were now going to make Jason and Shardonnay the main story-line or replace Melanie and Derwin. Well, they’re going with the latter. They’re going a very similar route as VH1′s Single Ladies. They said,

“With Tia Mowry leaving the show, producers are looking for a new female actress tojoin the cast in the regular role of Kiera, a 20-year-old formerchild star who has been in the spotlight since she was five years old and starring on a “Cosby” style sitcom. According to the casting call, she’s bright and charming, but struggling into transitioning into a grown-up career.

Kiera isn’t the only newbie in town! Another series regular will be hired to play Bryce “The Blueprint” Westbook – a #1, Ivy League draft pick running back who breaks every “dumb athlete” stereotype. He’s not only got a Heisman Trophy, but he’s usually the smartest guy in the room — which sets his new teammates on edge.”

So, we’re guessing they’re just going to verbally explain Melanie and Derwin out and slide Kiera and Bryce into their place…wonder how that’s going to go. Thoughts?
