UPDATE: Great news! Lindsay has been released from the hospital and is headed back to film her new movie.

Actress and resident Hollywood bad gal Lindsay Lohan was in a very serious car accident today on the Pacific Coast Highway after being cut off by an 18 wheeler. She was headed to the set of her new film about Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, Liz & Dick.

Lindsay slammed into the back of the 18 wheeler and she along with her assistant were taken to he hospital. There’s no official word on her condition, but she was not taken away in an ambulance and it looks like a few tests are being run on her. It has been confirmed that Lindsay was not under the influence of any alcohol. We’re praying for you Lindsay!
