I’m not to happy about this one! Fashion House YVES SAINT LAURENT (YSL) ,will soon change it’s name to SAINT LAURENT PARIS!  In the 1960′s YSL became the 1st fashion designer to  make and successfully market a “prêt-à-porter” ready to wear line, as well as the 1st designer to use African American models for his runway shows. Since then YSL has been one of the worlds most influential brands, with its YSL logo instantly recognized . In 2008 , designer Yves Saint Laurent passed away , at the age of 71.

New creative director , Hedi Slimane,  is the cause behind the new name change, which is set to take place  in Spring of 2013. Sources say that the iconic YSL logo will not disappear altogether, but major changes to will take a place. We’re guessing YSL will still remain on iconic pieces and collections.

This does not set well with me. If anything Saint Laurent Paris should be a sub label of YSL, not the other way around!

Well I guess I should finish stocking up on my YSL pumps before they simply became SL!
