If you watched the 1st season of Basketball Wives LA, then you know that Jackie and Doug Christie renew their vows every year on their anniversary July 8th. They’ve renewed them in places such as Vegas to construction sites with hard hats. This time, for their  17th wedding anniversary the decided to renew their vows at a gay club, Club Eleven  in West Hollywood.

“As life-long supporters of the gay community, Doug and I remain humbled by the overwhelming love, acceptance and friendship they have extended with open arms while treating us like family,”

“As we celebrate 17 years of marriage, it weighs heavy on our hearts that the same love shared by many of our friends is considered ‘less than’ and is not widely recognized due to antiquated laws, lack of acceptance, and misperceptions, among other discriminatory factors.”

“Tonight was nothing less than a celebration of the recent advancements made in the fight for Marriage Equality, but also a reminder of the work that still needs to be done. Until that battle is won, Doug and I will remain soldiers on the frontlines.”

 

 Hmmm. We get the what you were trying to covey Jackie but , it still leaves me scratching my head. Wonder what Doug had to say about renewing his vows at a gay club, probably not much, Jackie seems to run their relationship and what she says goes!
