He  had been swimming with his wife, Bernie when they became caught in rough water beyond a protected reef area, attempting to save his wife Danny swept away in a strong current. After an hour and half of searching his body was found trapped underwater by rocks. Bernie was brought to by  U.S. tourist snorkeling nearby.

“We always go to Baby Beach, and we go there because it’s so safe, it happened so fast,”

said Mrs Roundfield.

In addition to his wife, Roundfield leaves behind two sons, Corey and Christopher and a number of grandchildren.
