Wow! We were literally (just minutes ago) talking about this on our radio show. After Saturday night’s altercation, now less than a week later Evelyn has filed for divorce from Chad Ochocinco Johnson. According to TMZ,

“Evelyn Lozada filed legal docs moments ago in Florida, claiming her marriage is “irretrievably broken.”

The trigger for the divorce was the domestic violence incident over the weekend, in which Chad Johnson was arrested after allegedly headbutting her during an argument.

According to the divorce docs, the couple had a prenup — but that won’t be a big deal since the marriage was shorter than Kim Kardashian‘s.”

This is all happening so fast. They fell for one another so quickly, had a public engagement, were married a little over month, and now this. No more TV show, Chad gets cut, and now Evelyn files for divorce. I’m sure we’ll hear all about this on the next season of Basketball Wives. We truly wish her the best.
