Many view tonight as the biggest night in Black entertainment, and we typically enjoy the BET Awards like any other award show, but you know our fave time of the night is the red carpet. So kick back and check out some of the great stuff and the not so great stuff inside.

It’s official!! The 1st couple of music will be attending the 2012 BET Awards, Associated Press confirms!!! This is so exciting! We’ve all been crossing our fingers that Momma Bey would be in the house! Now the question is , will Beyonce hit the stage?? She’s nominated for 6 awards, while hubby is up for 5 and BFF Kanye West (hmm is he bringing Kimmy?) is up for 7! There is a Whitney Houston tribute and everyone is saying Bey will participate, but that’s not confirmed! Her current single is “Dance For You” but if she performs that, we think it will be very similar to the 2005 “Cater 2 You” performance she did with Destiny’s Child!

Actor, Samuel L. Jackson has been announced as the host for the 2012 BET Awards, which will be LIVE on July 1st. What do you think f Samuel L. being the host? Do you think he will be funny? I’m sure he will have a rap skit to get back at all the rappers turned actors. I think it’s an interesting choice, if nothing else. Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj are also the 1st artist confirmed to perform on the show! I will be tuned in!
