Mariah Carey was honored as a “BMI Icon” at the ceremony! She received a JAW DROPPING tribute from Jermaine Dupri, gospel singer Karen Clark Sheard, the legendary Eric Benet and American Idol’s own Fantasia.
The BMI awards occurred yesterday night at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills . BMI honors songwriters, composers and music publishers of the past year’s most performed songs in various genres in the United States.

Last night The Teen Choice Awards aired and what would they be without a performance by Justin Bieber? We here at IASG, are huge Beliebers. Infact, when we attended the Billboard Music Awards Justin was one of our favorite performers. So, just in case you missed it last night, we have his performance. Justin Bieber shut down the streets of New York with his performance on the ‘Today’ Show at the Toyota Series. He did hits “Boyfriend,” “Baby,” “All Around the World,” and even “As Long As You Love Me,” the latest ft Big Sean who even stopped through and later tweeted,
“Just came thru n rocked the today show! Luv to @justinbieber for giving that opportunity. My whole Fam was watching. #heymom.”
Beiber also sat down with Matt Lauer to talk about his new album “Believe”
“I think [this album] is about proving people wrong and going out there and making good music and going out there and performing better than everyone else. That’s what you have to do to cross over. Or else I’m just gonna be another teen heartthrob, but I want to be remembered.”
