I saw Sparkle this weekend and I have to say, firstly that I prefer the original. I won’t give too much of a spoiler for those of you who haven’t seen it, but they certainly did their share of remixing to the original plot and that I wasn’t too fond of.

Last night Jordin Sparks, Tika Sumpter and Carmen Ejogo dazzled at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre for the LA premiere of Sparkle! I am very pleased with the fashion choices the ladies made last night , especially because they all were very lack luster at the New York premiere a few days ago. Also on the red carpet was Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, with her adopted brother/fiance Nick Gordon. Jordin Sparks, Tika Sumpter and Carmen Ejogo , who play Sister and her Sisters in the upcoming movie SPARKLE ,cover the Spetember issue of Ebony Magazine. Just like Gwen Stefani and Lady Gaga who are covering magazines for the month of September , the ladies are decked in pink! pink must be the season’s IT color. Sadly Whitney Houston is not apart of the cover, but in the magazine the entire cast reflects on her influenec and presence and Bobbi Kristina even shares a letter to her mother in the issue. I will be sure to pick up a copy today!
With the movie “Sparkle” set to air August 10th Jordin Sparks shows some behind the scene footage to “Celebrate”, the R. Kelly-produced single and the final song recorded by Whitney Houston.
Jordin celebrated the life of her late mentor with her co-stars including Derek Luke, Omari Hardwick, Goapele, Carmen Ejogo, and Tika Sumpter by throwing a house party.
“What better song to leave for people to hear than a song that is so upbeat and just so happy and so encouraging?”
