DIOR FALL 2011
With the recent dismissal of John Galliano, many were wondering how Christian Dior’s Fall 2011 fashion show at Paris Fashion Week would turn out! The outcome GREAT! This collection was similar to GUCCI’s Fall 2011 line. Very 70′s chic, with fur , crushed velvet, floppy hats, splashes of plum, berry ,prints, trousers, lightweight barely there gowns and colorful thigh high boots that I…dare I say it, LOVE!! The best part was the finale which included 30 CHRISTIAN DIOR staff! Often a certain designer (ie Galliano) gets all the attention for a line, but in reality it takes that hard work of hundreds to put an entire collection and show together! Well done Dior!

Vivienne Westwood FALL 2011
I fell in love with Vivenne Westwood in SEX AND THE CITY:THE MOVIE, when she sent Carrie her wedding dress after her Vogue shoot !The dress was A-MAZ-ING!!!!
I am a little on the fence about how I feel about this Fall 2011 collection. Before we even get into the clothes, lets talk about the obvious! The models Black Swan/Crow/The Joker inspired makeup frightened the heck out of me!
Now onto the clothes! Continue reading
SNEAK PEEK : Gucci Fall 2011
I think I may have found my favorite collection from this years Fashion week, it’s GUCCI!!!! For fall 2011, Gucci goes back to the 70′s! The 70′sis my favorite (besides 1920′s/30′s glam) clothing era. It was a time all about self expression, women were able to be sexy and sultry as well as tough (hence Foxy Brown), with out falling short of being glamorous! I love the parallels that GUCCI has done for fall 2011, having feminine suits with wide brimed hats as well as ultra sexy sheer gowns, paired with rosets!
If I had to describe this collection in 2 words it would be BOSSED UP! I’m in LOVE!!!

SNEAK PEEK: DONNA KARAN FALL 2011
Donna Karan’s monochromatic fashion usually bores me! Yet this year I am loving the Donna Karan Fall 2011 collection. To me this collection is Jackie O meets Carrie Bradshaw, classic yet very glamorous (although I wish she would’ve used faux fur) ! I Love it!! Kudos Donna Karan.
