“I just love her. We call each other twins. I talk to her on the phone at least three or four times a week,” says Janelle

”It was really inspired by our private conversation, dialogue that she and I have and continue to have,” says Janelle referring to the new single.

The adorable and incredibly cool Janelle Monae is rising to the top. Last year, she became a CoverGirl spokeswoman and now she’s gracing the cover of Elle Magazine.

She excitedly tweeted,

“Never had this happen before. I’m very thankful. My 1st cover of ELLE magazine. @ElleCanada Sending love #febissue.” As excited as Janelle is…Elle seems to be equally as honored to have her on their cover. They even call her “music’s coolest star.”

What a great way to start 2013. Congrats Janelle Monae!
