SPARKLE COMES IN #5 AT THE BOX OFFICE AND BRINGS IN….

Sparkle made $12 million over the weekend and came in the #5 spot at the box office. That’s pretty darn good..but I’m curious to know if you guys think those are good numbers?
I saw Sparkle this weekend and I have to say, firstly that I prefer the original. I won’t give too much of a spoiler for those of you who haven’t seen it, but they certainly did their share of remixing to the original plot and that I wasn’t too fond of.

Last night Jordin Sparks, Tika Sumpter and Carmen Ejogo dazzled at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre for the LA premiere of Sparkle! I am very pleased with the fashion choices the ladies made last night , especially because they all were very lack luster at the New York premiere a few days ago. Also on the red carpet was Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, with her adopted brother/fiance Nick Gordon. Just like Gwen Stefani and Lady Gaga who are covering magazines for the month of September , the ladies are decked in pink! pink must be the season’s IT color. Sadly Whitney Houston is not apart of the cover, but in the magazine the entire cast reflects on her influenec and presence and Bobbi Kristina even shares a letter to her mother in the issue. I will be sure to pick up a copy today!
