FASHION FRIDAY POST: L’ORE’AL’S OUTFIT OF THE DAY

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of bringing in the birthday of one of my Bestie’s, Ebony (Breezy). Birthdays are a big deal for us because not only are good friends hard to find, but more importantly because life should be celebrated!
Ash told you all last week that we were going to start sharing more personal posts again, as we’ve gotten away from it due to our busy schedules, but from here on out (every Friday) you’re guaranteed a new #OOTD post from one of us or one of our amazing and equally as stylish interns.
So this Friday is on me. 
I wore a sheer H&M printed shirt from their Conscious Collection. I bought the shirt last year and I’ve worn it one time before and then totally forgot I had it. This time I paired it with a pair of teal skinny jeans which were also from H&M. I’m pretty sure the entire outfit was under $70. I’m all about mixing highs and lows. I paired the shirt and top with one of my favorite pair of Christian Louboutin pumps (the Maggie in nude). As you can see, my bra decided to make a cameo (which I knew would happen) so I decided to wear a lavender bra to go with the rest of my springy ensemble. Continue reading

Last night Kristal and L’Ore’al were at Mirage in downtown Baltimore and RayJ stopped a by with friend and fellow actor Jackie Long. They were also at The Rickey Smiley Show premiere the night before at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum. Ashley and L’Ore’al stopped by and got a peek of the new TV One show. It looks like it’ll be pretty funny, but what else would one expect from Rickey Smiley?
Jackie and Ray-J went to Mirage on Saturday after the premiere and had such a great time, they decided to make it a round 2 for #ShowSundays. They were both very friendly and the ladies were in heaven. All in all it was a great time. Continue reading
TREY SONGZ & TEAM SUPERGORGE HIT DTLR IN-STORE FOR CHAPTER V

This week was Trey Songz week in the DMV. From instores, to private parties, to charity events , he was everywhere to promote his latest album, CHAPTER V. Team SuperGorge made a stop at his instore at DTLR in St. Charles mall, where the fans lined up by the dozens for hours. Fans ranging from 5 to 60 stood in line to get a peek at Trey, and to have him sign their CD covers. It always amazes me to see fans hysterically crying when they meet their favorite artist, it has to be such a humbling moment for the artist. The instore latest for 2 hours, and although Trey wasn’t able to meet everyone in the store he did go out to the front and greet fans that didn’t have a chance to make it in. When he opened the gate the roar from the fans was so loud, I literally felt the ground shake! Ladies love Trey!

As she performed the audience sang along with songs from Elle’s Mixtape Conversational Lush and from her debut album Perfectly Imperfect. Afterwards Elle signed pictures, CDs and greeted fans for about an hour, she then sat down with us to talk about growing up with parents in the music industry, shopping, make up, hair, how a guy can get close to her and how you can get an Elle Varner booty!! Recently Team Supergorge went to one of Deanna’s bootcamp classes, and when we tell you it was a work out, believe it! Everything from warm up, to cardio, abs, legs and butt were all done! On behalf of myself, IAMSUPERGORGE.com, L’Oreal and Kashimah, I would like to thank each and every person who marched and attended the Justice For Trayvon March/Rally that we helped organized along side Maryland Southern Christian Leadership Council on Monday in Baltimore. The rally was informative , emotional and full of unity. Baltimore news stations estimates there were about 1,200 people in attendace, ranging from infant to elder. What happened to Trayvon could have happened to anyone of our children. You all made your voices be heard and for that we commend you. Don’t let your voice stop after the rallys and protest or after the media dies down, continue to make a change and bring awareness. It’s very important for us to unite as people and stop the racism and discrimination, it’s 2012 people!

Yesterday L’Oreal and I had the chance to chat with Diggy Simmons at his in store for his new album at DTLR in Columbia Mall. When we arrived the line was literally wrapped around the outside of the mall. Inside the store their were hundreds are screaming girls (and some cougars lol) waiting for their chance to get his autograph and a hug. Over the weekend IAMSUPERGORGE.com turned 1!! We 1st celebrated on Saturday afternoon, hosting a brunch along side Kimanti Rawlings of Automotive Rhythms at Station 4 in Washington, DC. Thank you so much to Niki Charles of Uptown Magazine and Publicist, Jessica Penzari for having us host , we had an amazing time. The food was great and you can’t beat unlimited mimosas. On Sunday we had our official invite only anniversary party at Baltimore’s hottest nightclub Mirage. We celebrated with 100 of our family and friends, while they enjoyed passed hor d’evors, OR-G cocktails, Kendria’s Kupkake ,complimentary mini mani’s from Plush Boutique and WPBRADIO.com broadcast live from the event. Our SuperGorge DJ , DJ Adore had everyone dancing and Jana (J Bee Photography) made she she captured the night just right for us! A special thank you to Erin Savage (Tresses Unlimited), Danielle Lewis (Danielle Lewis Beauty), Sophia Peaks (Topaz Shoes ) and Nakia Dedmon ( Nail and Skin Care by Nakia) for providing winners of our raffle with a complimentary hair styling, make up, shoes and spa treatments. And a huge thank you to our staff Ebony, Carol, Kristal and Chenelle for helping make sure the night ran smoothly.
