This weekend all the celebs came out to London and gave their all for the Sound of Change Charity Concert, which was an event for “Chime for Change,” the charity Beyonce, Salma Hayek and Gucci started. “Chime for Change” was created for the empowerment of women, which we all know Beyonce feels very strong about! For me, I traded in jet black hair and I’m now rocking brown and blonde, for the summer I want to relive being a blonde (lol, I was blonde most of my teenage years) and see if they really have more fun!

After each woman lost her husband , in a very similar manner just 3 years apart, the 2 formed a very close bond after the deaths of their civil right leader husbands.The movie is also narratored by the legendary, Ruby Dee! For the closing day of the DNC , Hollywood came out to speak on behalf of President Obama and the Demorcratic Party. Especially notable are some of todays leading women in TV and film such as, Kerry Washington, Scarlett Johanson and Eva Longoria. During Eva’s speech , she talked about tax cuts and how the Eva that worked at Wendy’s needed one , but the Eva that is on movie sets doesn’t. Mary J. Blige also lent her voice to get the crowd singing and moving.

Beyonce and Jay-Z were spotted out (rather spotted in) at L.A. Reid and his wife Erica Reid’s house for the release of her book “The Thriving Child.” Awwww, how fitting. Of course they would be spotted at a quaint, yet swanky house gathering at the Reid’s house. Bey and Jay brought along Mama Tina and Mary J. Blige was in attendance also.

Blige, a strong black female figure singing about crispy chicken didn’t sit well with a lot of her fans. But Burger King says this is not why the commercial was pulled.
