Whenever I’m about to interview someone that I like or am a big fan of, there’s always a sense of nervousness. I want to leave the interview liking them just the same or even more, and it’s a let down when I don’t. So I couldn’t imagine being told that I was going to work with one of the biggest stars in the world, that I admired everyday and then after a week or two, we hate each other.

This morning Rihanna called into Kiss FM Radio and broke some silence on her upcoming projects and most importantly (what everyone want to hear) her decision to partner up with Chris Brown professionally.
“The first song that came about was ‘Birthday Cake.’ I mean we ended up recording them at the same time and executing them together, but I reached out to him about doing ‘Birthday Cake’ because that’s the only person that really–it made sense to do the record. Just as a musician despite everything else that was going to be the person. You know I thought about rappers, and I’ve done that so many times, and the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown. So I wanted him on the track, and then in turn he was like ‘Why don’t you do the remix to my track?’ and it was a trade off.”

She says ,”My first feeling was disappointment, only because of my respect for Madonna. I’m a cuckoo lady too, but I would never be able to do it off the strength of Madonna. There are fines that go into these things, and I just thought, ‘Oh my God. I hope they don’t penalize Madonna.… Madonna knows the artist that M.I.A. is and it was her decision to take the risk with all of us. The 30 year old singer, along with Robin Thicke, Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber are all set to perform at Dick Clark’s Rocking New Years Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2012. Bey fans don’t get too excited! We won’t see the 8 month Mom to Bey, showing off her baby bump! The perfomrmance is from a a show Beyonce did in London, months ago. Either way , seeing Beyonce perform is always a great thing! Be sure to tune into the 40th anniversary show on Saturday, December 31stat 8pm on ABC!
