Christian Louboutin isn’t the only high-end shoe designer to cross into the sneaker world. Last year, Jimmy Choo went a step beyond their popular stilettos and added a line of high-end sneakers too! The Fall 2010 collection, included sneakers featuring patent leather, suede, and exotic snake skin with a striking star motif sole. Well, 2011 is no different and my favorite style would have to be the Tokyo High-Top Trainer Sneakers.
Prada is taking things a little lower with their Spring 2011 line, and what they lack in height, they make up for in color and details. Prada’s Cap Toe Patent Sneakers resemble the styling of my timeless favorite Converse.
With the suede and patent leather styling, this allows for a functional and fashionable option. With a price tag of $295, these are available at select high-end retail department stores, such as SAKS. You might not want to wear these when you go out for a night of dinner and dancing (again, I do occasionally), but dinner and a movie? These are a must!
Sneakers have evolved from a simple shoe worn to work out in, to a shoe that represents the epitome of casual style. When sneakers come to mind, people immediately think Jordan’s, Air Maxes and Chuck Taylor’s. Although these are classic sneaker staples, sneakers have come very far!
